Izumi: Yeah, well, Yuu-kun… he wanted so badly to run away from me that he went crying to Nazunyan. Nazunyan has a soft heart, so he said everything we wanted to know.♪
Anyhow, that Ousama is way more serious than we thought. The truth ended up being outrageous, so I was in a mad rush to get here and tell you. Ugh, I ran for nothing and got all sweaty.
You see, Ousama, unlike some conveniently placed bad guy in a shounen manga…
...he's not simple enough to give us a challenge that’ll be easy for us to overcome.
Arashi: W-What do you mean? An outrageous truth? What is that…?
Izumi: Well, you know the temporary unit Ousama put together to fight against us? I found out who the members are. And they’re way overpowered.
Tsukasa: Excuse me. I apologize for interrupting the conversation, but what is this “temporary unit”? Could that be the unit that will be fighting against Knights…?
Izumi: I see, you don’t know. You don’t see them around too much anymore, thanks to the student council getting stricter with the rules. Though lately they’ve been getting just a liiittle looser.
A “temporary unit” is a unit that’s only active for a designated amount of time… like the name, it’s essentially temporary. Ignoring all kinds of set frameworks, it’s a unit put together for special jobs and such. Other than only existing for a limited time and being able to freely choose the members, it’s the same as a regular unit.
For work outside the school, such as song contests… There have been a lot of units put together from the best singers chosen out of all the Yumenosaki students, for example.
If you compare it to baseball, it might be easier to understand. You know how they select players from different teams for the Olympics? It’s kinda like that.
Tsukasa: I don’t know much about baseball, but… I see, it’s a unit made temporarily for a specific objective. By that effect, if we Knights are a unit of loyal warriors, then a temporary unit is like a band of mercenaries?
Is that what we are up against this time…? Then the lineup in this temporary unit is dangerous enough to merit precaution.
Izumi: That’s right. By the way, the unit Ousama put together is apparently called “Knight Killers.”
If he thinks he can kill us so easily, then he’s underestimating us. Thinking they can flatten us completely, don’t get ahead of yourself.
Well, we shouldn’t make light of them either, though. With Ousama, just the songs he makes are gonna be trouble for us… I heard a bunch of big-shot leaders from the strongest units are gonna be in Knight Killers.
If we let our guard down, we don’t even have a chance.
