• Guide to Retrospec, courtesy of Mrs. Elda Marker
• Yumenosaki Academy is a performing arts school with a major focus on producing idols, a subsection of the Japanese entertainment industry that's very popular with men and women alike. The school puts a lot of importance on participation, and the Dream Festival (DreamFes) system is there to help encourage that. It's located by the sea and by mountains on either side, with a city not too far from it.
• In Dream Festivals, units either go against each other or they work together. The winners are decided by spectators. Different rankings correlate with the importance, exclusivity, funding, difficulty, and level of rewards received from participating. In order from highest to lowest:
○ SS - The highest ranking DreamFes. These involve schools aside from Yumenosaki Academy too, and are held very rarely throughout the year. The hardest, but most rewarding, and exceptionally exclusive.
○ S1 - Campus-restricted, large scale DreamFes. They're open to the public, but require tickets to be bought beforehand. Only teachers and those of the producer class can submit requests for these.
○ S2 - Campus-restricted, large scale Dreamfes. They're also open to the public, but don't require tickets to be bought. Only teachers and those of the producer class can submit requests for these.
○ S3 - Campus-restricted, large scale DreamFes. It can be held freely and as many times as possible, and only require a unit leader or someone from the producer class to submit a request for it and have it pass through a teacher or the Student Council successfully.
○ A1 - Considered "rookie-level battles," these are low-level DreamFes that count towards student grades. These are usually requested by teachers or those of the producer class as well.
v○ B1 - Unofficial DreamFes that can be held by anyone, anytime, anywhere. They're unapproved by the Academy, but the Student Council still oversees them somewhat...
○ DDD - A special competition that was held at the beginning of the year to decide who would participate in the SS-level Lives that occur during the rest of the year. Campus-restricted, but open to the public without any restriction at all.
• There are also other opportunities to practice skills that don't count towards your participation grade or grades in general, such as at school festivals and competitions concerning your clubs.

i'm a kindergarten teacher at recolle elementary, and i also help with re:VA and a few other things around town.

i also knew a wataru (some kind of magician), a kaoru (who i think may also be a third year), and aside from people in the chat, i think that's it!

It's Suzu Kiryu. I'm not sure if I should be surprised to see so many familiar faces here or not. I'm a junior at Rec U, nursing major. I'm gonna start interning at the hospital in a few weeks. Kuro's my brother.
My past self's name is Suzu Kuromori, no matter how many times she denies it. "I'm" not directly related to Yumenosaki Academy or an idol. Even if my past self was in a band with the Light Music Club and performed in gigs and stuff, she's not an idol. It looks like I'm from a neighboring all-girls' high school called Kimisaki Academy.
I won't bother going into more details; it's not really relevant to you guys, so it's probably not interesting, and typing so much is a pain... And we're not sure when the internet will go sentient again and use any information against us.
But the reason I and some other guys think my past self are from the same world and city a everyone here is because I have memories of the following:
- Ruka Tsukinaga
- Valkyrie
- Mika Kagehira
- "Oshi-san" (vaguely, all I remember is him scowling or sewing in a corner)
